Passes historic waxman-markey
clean energy bill
WASHINGTON, DC — Today the House of Representatives passed
the landmark American Clean Energy and Security Act , sponsored by Rep. Henry A.
Waxman, Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Rep. Edward J. Markey, Chairman of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global
Warming.
Rep. Markey speaks at a press conference following the passage of the Waxman-Markey clean energy bill, along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Majority Whip James Clyburn, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman.
